Next Thursday at Dance Theatre Etcetera we’ll be meeting with community partners to discuss some of the issues facing Red Hook. From development at Piers 11 & 7 to issues facing local youth, the evening will be a chance to find out what’s going on in the neighborhood and to share your thoughts.
We’ll also have a performance by the wonderfully talented Joseph Webb & friends, and we’ll discuss some ideas for community collaborations on the upcoming (June 6) Red Hook Waterfront Arts Festival.
Here are the details:
480 Van Brunt Street (just past the entrance to the Fairway supermarket, door to the right after the security guard booth- ring buzzer 3.)
RSVP: firstname.lastname@example.org or (718) 643-6790
While we field requests for copies of Film The Vote, what is the man behind the film doing?
DTE teaching artist Robert Martin is down south, with a busy week ahead as he runs the Clear Creek Festival, three days of “culture, community, healing, and action.”
If you happen to be in Kentucky, or know anyone who is, then you can’t miss Clear Creek.
Even if you’re on this side of the mason-dixon, learn more about the great work being done at the official festival website.

Who could that be, up high, all tied up?
Why, it’s Greg, of course.
