The Red Hook Fest This Weekend

Months of planning and the dedication of wonderful professional artists, youth groups, and community partners come together this weekend for the 16th Annual Red Hook Waterfront Arts Festival.

This year’s Festival will feature some of Brooklyn’s best dance, music, and spoken word artists, as well as fun activities (like free kayak rides in New York Harbor) and delicious local food.  Head over to redhookfest.com for details, directions, and more.  Here are the essentials:

Where:  Louis J. Valentino Jr. Park & Pier (Coffey & Ferris Streets, in Red Hook)

When: Friday, June 5th (6pm-9pm) & Saturday, June 6th (11am-7pm)

Why:  To feature the talent of Red Hook’s young artists, and to celebrate culture, community, and the beauty of Brooklyn on the breathtaking waterfront of Valentino Park & Pier.
